Reviewed 23 October 2026: Safe Box: Bank Account Manager is an Android finance app whose Google Play description says it is for bank accounts, documents and family information, with offline use and encryption advertised by the developer. The same listing marks it as containing ads. Its Data safety disclosure reports possible collection and sharing of device or other IDs.

What Safe Box is

Safe Box is presented as a personal organizer for information people may need to refer to, such as bank-account details, documents and family information. It is not a bank or government service. Google Play’s listing is the current place to check its description, availability, ads and update notes.

The current Play release notes say compatibility with Android devices using 16 KB memory pages has been fixed. This describes the developer’s release note; it is not an independent security audit. See our separate 16 KB compatibility update guide for what the public listing confirms.

What “offline and encrypted” means—and what it does not prove

The developer’s public description advertises offline use and encrypted storage. It does not identify the encryption algorithm, explain the storage design for each kind of information, or provide an independent security audit. Do not treat those words as a guarantee that every app component is offline or that no technical information is transmitted.

Check the Data safety disclosure

The current Google Play Data safety page says the app may collect and share Device or other IDs, that data is encrypted in transit, and that the developer does not provide a way to request deletion of collected data. These are developer-provided disclosures and may change with app version, region, age or use. The listing does not state that saved bank details are shared, but it also does not explain every storage detail.

Features described on the current listing

  • Personal records: the description refers to bank accounts, documents and family information.
  • Offline use and encryption: advertised by the developer; exact technical details are not specified on the listing.
  • Ads: Google Play currently labels Safe Box “Contains ads.”

Specific capabilities such as a named encryption algorithm, biometric lock or one-tap IFSC copying should be checked in the current app version; the public listing reviewed here does not confirm those details. See our feature and Data safety review for the evidence behind these points.

Use a storage app carefully

  1. Keep only information you need, and decide whether you are comfortable storing it on a phone.
  2. Never store an ATM PIN, UPI PIN, CVV, OTP, net-banking password or account-recovery code in a general-purpose organizer.
  3. Read the app’s privacy policy and Android permission requests. Allow only permissions relevant to the features you use.
  4. Use a strong phone screen lock, install updates from Google Play, and understand how local data and device backups can be removed.
  5. Before a payment or official application, verify account details with your bank or the relevant government portal.

Who might find it useful?

People who want a mobile place to refer to non-secret account or document information may consider Safe Box after reading its current store and privacy disclosures. If you require independently audited security, confirmed biometric controls, a deletion guarantee or cross-device recovery, verify those capabilities directly before entering information.
